Holy Orders is a vocation or a call from God. Men discerning the priesthood or diaconate are configured to Christ by a special grace of the Holy Spirit through the laying on of hands, becoming another Christ so that they can stand in the very Person of Christ among those they serve. 

There are three degrees of Holy Orders in the Catholic Church: bishop, priest, and deacon.

Men interested in discerning the priesthood or diaconate and/or men and women interested in the consecrated life should contact the Diocese of Raleigh's Office of Vocations.
